As you can see, we have a fairly limited watch for this month of May 2024. We took the opportunity to prepare a discussion for you on the latest Laval Virtual and some thoughts on the uses of AI in XR.
We still had some information on Google’s hardware strategy which is similar to Magic Leap. As always, deciphering the company’s intentions is a delicate exercise, but this seems to confirm its intention to devote itself to the software part (but no announcement of Android XR at the last Google I/O 2024 conference).
On the hardware side, interest in AR glasses is not waning. We’ve talked about it a lot since the start of the year, and in May 2024 we still have announcements from Xreal and Rokid. Is this related to Microsoft’s wanderings in the development of its Hololens? We’ll talk about it again soon!
